Cookie policy

Klicova uses cookies and similar technologies (the browser’s local storage and IndexedDB) to function, remember your preferences, protect itself from abuse and fund itself with advertising. This page lists the complete inventory, by name and purpose. It complements the Privacy notice.

Essential (necessary for the service to work)

• NextAuth session cookies (next-auth.session-token, next-auth.csrf-token, next-auth.callback-url) — they keep your session active and protect sign-in against request forgery. Without them it is not possible to use the editor or the boards.
• Firebase Authentication (IndexedDB) — the state of your sign-in with Google/email is stored in your browser’s IndexedDB storage, not in cookies.
• Language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) — remembers your language (es/en).

Preferences

• theme cookie — remembers your light/dark theme choice to apply it before painting the page (no flicker). It applies only to this site.
• localStorage klicova:pending-template — if you choose a template before signing in, it temporarily stores which one it was (expires in 1 hour) to take you to it once you finish registering. It lives only in your browser.

Security (anti-bot)

When you post on the boards, Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise is loaded, which may use cookies and browser signals to distinguish people from bots. This script only loads at the moment of posting, not while browsing the site. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms apply.

Analytics

We use Google metrics (e.g. Google Analytics) to understand aggregate site usage: pages visited, duration, country. We do not use this data to identify you personally.

Advertising

Google AdSense and its partners use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to show ads in the spaces labeled as “Ad” (gallery and editor; never on the boards, registration or legal pages) and to measure their performance; with your consent, also to personalize them according to your interests. What we do NOT use

• We do not use cookies to sell personal data.
• Your editor images and designs are not stored in cookies or on our servers: they live in your browser and under your control.
• We do not use third-party trackers beyond the Google services listed here.

How to control them

You can delete or block cookies and local storage from your browser’s settings; the essential ones are necessary for the editor and the boards to work (without them the session is not kept). Where the law requires it, you will see a consent notice for the advertising cookies and you will be able to accept or reject them.
